How to play Cassim Solitaire

Layout:

4 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in the same suit.

7 tableau piles: Build down in the same suit. Sequenced groups of cards in the same suit can move together. Any card can fill an empty space. Each pile starts with four cards, dealt face-up.

Stock: Click to turn over one card at a time to the waste. Redeals are unlimited.

Waste: The top card can be played on the foundations or tableau.

Foundation:

There are four foundation piles.

Any ace can start an empty foundation pile.

A card can be added to a foundation pile if it's one rank higher than the pile's current top card and shares its suit — so the only card that can follow a 4 of clubs is a 5 of clubs.

The top card of any foundation can be moved back into play if another pile will accept it.

Tableau:

Seven tableau piles, four cards each to start, all dealt face-up.

A card can be added to a tableau pile if it's one rank lower and the same suit as the pile's current top card — so the only card that can follow a 9 of diamonds is an 8 of diamonds.

Any tableau card not covered by another is free to move to a foundation or another tableau pile.

Any card can fill an empty tableau space.

When a run of cards is all the same suit, high to low, you can move the whole group from one tableau pile to another.

Stock and waste:

There's one waste pile, and the rest of the deck makes up the stock.

Click the stock to deal one card to the waste. You can go through the stock as many times as you like.

The top card of the waste can be played to the tableau or a foundation.
