Miss Milligan minus the safety pocket, but any card can fill an empty column, so your skill matters as much as luck: a testing 20% win rate.

Giant Solitaire takes the two-deck Miss Milligan layout and drops its pocket, but makes up for it by letting any card fill an empty tableau column. It's medium difficulty, with a 20% chance of winning, so skill counts for about as much as the luck of the deal.

Titan Solitaire is Giant's closest twin, dealing three cards to each pile instead of one, and Little Giant Solitaire shrinks the whole layout down to a single deck.

If Giant Solitaire's grown on you, the classic Solitaire offers the same climb from ace to king, at a smaller scale.

How to play Giant Solitaire

Layout:

8 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in the same suit.

8 tableau piles: Build down in alternating colors. A run of cards already in order can be moved as a group. Any card can fill an empty space. Each pile starts with one face-up card.

Stock: Click the stock to deal one card onto every tableau pile at once. There's only one pass through the stock and no redeal.

Foundation:

There are eight foundation piles.

A card can be added to a foundation pile only if it's one rank higher and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on a 4 of diamonds is a 5 of diamonds. There can be no more than 13 cards in a pile.

Once the stock runs out, you can move a foundation pile's top card back into play if another pile will accept it.

Tableau:

Eight tableau piles of one card each, dealt face-up.

A card can be added to a tableau pile only if it's one rank lower and the opposite color of the pile's current top card, so the only cards that fit on the 6 of spades are the 5 of hearts and 5 of diamonds.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card are free to be played onto the foundation or any other tableau pile.

Any card can fill an empty slot in the tableau.

If the cards are alternately red and black, groups of cards in succession from high to low can be shifted from one tableau column to another.

Stock:

The stock is made up of leftover cards.

When you click on the stock, a card is dealt to the top of each tableau pile. There's only one pass through the stock, so make it count.
