Six tableau piles of three, Klondike rules, but every card moves alone, never as a stack. Simple, single-deck, and won about 55% of the time. Lanes Game Layout

A six-by-three tableau plays much like Klondike, except you can only move cards one at a time, never as a stack. It's simple, with a 55% chance of winning. Played with a single deck, your odds mostly come down to skill.

If moving cards one at a time wears you down, the classic Solitaire lets you shift whole stacks again.

How to play Lanes Solitaire

Layout:

4 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in the same suit. All four Aces are dealt onto these piles at the start.

6 tableau piles: Build down in alternating colors. Only one card can be moved at a time. Any card can fill an empty pile. At the start, each pile is dealt three cards face-up.

Stock: Click to deal one card at a time to the waste. There are no redeals.

Waste: The top card can be played on the foundations or tableau.

Foundation:

There are four foundation piles.

Each foundation pile starts with an ace already in place.

A card can be added to a foundation pile only if it's one rank higher and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on a 10 of spades is a jack of spades.

The top card of each foundation can be moved back into play if another pile will accept it.

Tableau:

Six tableau piles of three cards each, all dealt face-up.

A card can be added to a tableau pile only if it's one rank lower and the opposite color of the pile's current top card, so the only cards that fit on the 9 of hearts are the 8 of spades and the 8 of clubs.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card are free to be played onto the foundation or any other tableau pile.

Any card can fill an empty tableau pile.

Stock and waste:

There's one waste pile; the rest of the cards form the stock.

Clicking the stock deals one card to the waste. There's only one pass through the stock, with no redeals.

The top card of the waste can be played to the tableau or foundation.
