Ceiling Fan Solitaire swaps Fan's strict suit rule for alternating colors, opening up more moves toward a friendly 60% win rate.

Ceiling Fan Solitaire is an easier spin on Fan Solitaire: instead of matching suit, you build the fan piles in alternating colors, which opens up a lot more moves. It's a single-deck game, medium difficulty, with a 60% chance of winning, and skill matters more than luck here.
It's part of the same family as Fan and La Belle Lucie Solitaire, both dealt out as small fans of cards you clear one at a time.

4 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in the same suit.
18 fans: Alternate-color construction, one card at a time. Only Kings can fill an empty fan. Most piles start with three face-up cards; the last two get two each.
There are four foundation piles.
A card can be added to a foundation pile only if it's one rank higher and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on a J of hearts is the Q of hearts.
The top card of a foundation pile can be moved back into play if a fan pile will accept it.
There are eighteen fan piles, dealt face-up: the first sixteen get three cards each, and the last two get two cards each.
A card can be added to a fan pile only if it's one rank lower and the opposite color of the pile's current top card, so the only cards that fit on a 6 of spades are the 5 of hearts and 5 of diamonds.
Any uncovered fan card can move onto the foundation or onto another fan pile.
Only Kings may fill an empty fan pile.
Only one card can move at a time; sequences aren't allowed.
