Fifteen Solitaire splits two decks across eight foundations: four build up from ace to king, and four count down from king to ace, all by suit. Its tableau spreads across fifteen piles, each starting with seven cards except the last, which gets six. On the tableau, you can build a card up or down onto the next one, as long as the suit matches. It's medium difficulty, with a 50% chance of winning, and played with two decks.

How to play Fifteen Solitaire

Layout:

8 foundation piles: Build up in suit from ace to king on the left piles, and down in suit from king to ace on the right piles.

15 tableau piles: Build up or down by suit, with no wrap. The top card of each pile can move to a foundation or another tableau pile. Only one card moves at a time on its own, but enabling super-moves lets you shift a whole run at once when there are enough empty columns to do the same thing as a series of single moves. Any card can fill an empty space. Each pile starts with 7 cards, except the last, which starts with 6.

Foundation:

There are two kinds of foundation piles.

Foundation A:

Foundation A has four piles. Any ace can be moved to an empty pile in Foundation A, and each pile must start with a different suit. A card can be added to a Foundation A pile if it's one rank higher than the pile's current top card and the same suit. So the only card that fits on a 7 of clubs is the 8 of clubs. A pile can hold no more than 13 cards.

Foundation B:

Foundation B has four piles. Any king can be moved to an empty pile in Foundation B, and each pile must start with a different suit. A card can be added to a Foundation B pile if it's one rank lower than the pile's current top card and the same suit. So the only card that fits on a 9 of hearts is the 8 of hearts. A pile can hold no more than 13 cards.

Cards can't be removed from a foundation once they've been placed there.

Tableau:

There are fifteen tableau piles: the first fourteen have seven cards each and the last one has six, all dealt face-up.

A card can be added to a tableau pile if it's one rank higher or lower than the pile's current top card and the same suit. So the cards that fit on the 7 of spades are the 6 of spades or the 8 of spades.

Any tableau card not covered by another card can be played to a foundation or another tableau pile.

Any card can fill an empty tableau slot.

Only one card moves at a time on its own, but enabling super-moves lets you move a run of cards when there are enough empty tableau piles to do the same thing as a series of single moves.
