The game is medium in difficulty, with a 50% chance of winning. It is played with a single deck, and your odds of victory are primarily determined by your talent.

12 tableau piles: There are 12 tableau piles, with the top card of each pile available. Pairs of cards totaling 14 A King and an Ace, for example, a Queen and a 2, or an 8 and a 6. Pick up one card with the mouse and drop it on the other to remove a pair. At the start of the game, each of the first four piles is dealt five cards face-up, and the remaining piles are handed four cards face-up.
Waste pile: The waste pile is where paired cards are removed from play.
There is just one foundation pile on which deleted cards are arranged.
There are twelve tableau piles of cards, with the first four each having five cards and the following eight each having four cards. Every card is dealt face-up.
On the tableau, no construction is authorized.
Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card are playable.
The tableau's empty spaces may not be filled.
The following cards couple to 14: King-Ace, Queen-2, Jack-3, 10-4, 9-5, 8-6, 7-7.
