Play the Klondike you know with everything doubled, two decks, eight foundations, and a bigger board, for a 99% win rate that rewards nearly every deal. Double Klondike Game Layout

Thomas Warfield's two-deck take on Klondike plays much like the original, just with double the cards and double the board. Most deals can be won: the game is simple, with a 99% chance of winning. It's played with two decks, and your odds come down to skill and luck, same as the classic.

If you enjoy Double Klondike Solitaire, Triple Klondike Solitaire and Quadruple Klondike Solitaire push the same idea further with three or four decks, and classic Solitaire is the one-deck original this whole family is built on.

How to play Double Klondike Solitaire

Layout:

8 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in the same suit.

9 tableau piles: Alternating-color construction: sequences move down by alternating color. Fill empty piles with a King, or a run of cards led by a King. The deal is a standard fan, one card to the first pile, two to the second, and so on, with the top card of each pile face-up.

Stock: Click to deal three cards to the waste pile. Redeals are unlimited.

Waste: Top card is always available for play on the foundations or tableau.

Foundation:

There are eight foundation piles.

Any ace in the foundation may be transferred to any vacant pile.

A card can be added to a foundation pile only if it's one rank higher and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on a Q of spades is a K of spades. Each pile holds at most 13 cards.

The top card of a foundation can be moved back into play if another pile will accept it.

Tableau:

Nine tableau piles, dealt one card to the first pile, two to the second, three to the third, and so on. The top card of each pile is face-up; the rest are face-down.

A card can be added to a tableau pile only if it's one rank lower and the opposite color of the pile's current top card, so the only cards that fit on a 6 of clubs are the 5 of hearts and 5 of diamonds.

Cards on the tableau that aren't covered by another card are free to move to the foundation or any other tableau pile.

Only Kings may fill an empty tableau pile.

Sequences of alternating red and black cards can move together from one tableau pile to another.

Stock and waste:

There is one waste pile, and the remaining cards form the stock.

Clicking the stock deals three cards to the waste. You can run through the stock as many times as you need. If fewer than three cards remain at the end of a pass, whatever is left is dealt, and the waste flips back over to become fresh stock for the next pass.

The top card of the waste can be played to the tableau or foundation.
